Absurdist Works
In this new body of work, I respond to our collective zeitgeist, such as it is. The existential, absurdist, nature of this series means that we’ll each come to different conclusions about its content and meaning. Some things are certain though. The digital additions and alterations aren't hidden, and unlike much of what is found online, the viewer should know immediately what’s real and what’s not. In its own way, I feel it’s much more honest. I hope to convey, at least through subtext, my recognition that “collective truth” (which cameras have traditionally been used for) is gone, at least for the foreseeable future. In spite of that, it’s crucial that we continue to navigate this world and find some meaning within it.
